The setting

Room to see
things differently.

Wolf Creek Ranch is defined by scale: 80 homesites, each at least 160 acres. That amount of space makes the position of each property, its views, and its sense of seclusion especially important.

The appeal is the wide-open landscape, wildlife, and access to the Uintas and surrounding trail systems. Sunrise, sunset, and the changing seasons are part of the experience.

It is worth weighing those qualities against everyday convenience. If country-club amenities and shops or restaurants close by are priorities, another community may be a better fit.

Cameron’s take on Wolf Creek Ranch

Cameron Boyd

Cameron Boyd

The first thing I tell people is that you really need to see it. Knowing a homesite is 160 acres and understanding how much space that gives you are two very different things. Then you start to appreciate the scale of the ranch itself.

For me, the appeal is the wide-open space, the views and the access to the Uintas and surrounding trail systems. Sunrise and sunset can be extraordinary, and every season brings a different character to the landscape. The wildlife is part of what makes it special.

Wolf Creek Ranch won’t suit everyone. If your priorities are country-club amenities and having shops and restaurants close by, another community may be a better fit. But I also think people sometimes overestimate how far away it is. As a rough guide, I allow about 30 minutes to Deer Valley’s East Village and around an hour to Salt Lake City International Airport, depending on where you start on the ranch, weather and traffic.

When we look at individual properties, my first question is simple: what matters more to you, seclusion and privacy, or big views? That answer helps us focus on the parts of the ranch that will feel right to you.

Before you visit

A few useful questions.

How large are the homesites?

The ranch has 80 homesites of at least 160 acres each. Visiting helps put that scale in perspective.

What is the main tradeoff?

Wide-open space, privacy, and a strong connection to the landscape come with a different relationship to convenience. Country-club amenities and nearby shopping or dining may matter more to some buyers.

How should I think about drive times?

Cameron uses roughly 30 minutes to Deer Valley’s East Village and around an hour to Salt Lake City International Airport as a starting point. Time varies with the property’s location, weather, and traffic.
